Term Definition
Natural Resources parts of the Earth's environment that supply materials useful or necessary for the survival of living organisms
ex. water, soil
Renewable Resources natural resources such as water, sunlight, and crops that are constantly being recycled or replaced by nature
Nonrenewable Resources natural resources, such as petroleum, minerals and metals, that are used more quickly than they can be replaced by natural processes
Water Cycle how water moves from Earth's surface to the atmosphere and back to the surface again through evaporation/transpiration, condensation, precipitation and runoff
